Acer Aspire 3050 Pci Flash Memory Driver

I replaced XP with Windows 7 Home Premium (Danish) and USB as well as Bluetooth worked better than ever. BT Mouse did not loose connection, BT smartphone did not loose connection. USB ports worked fine with my printers. Suddenly USB as well as Bluetooth did not work. In fact they don't even show up at all in the device manager. Nothing in the device manager about USB, nothing in device manager about Bluetooth.

Hi JesperMilling, Welcome to Microsoft Answers Forum.

Who is the maker of flash drive? I would suggest you to download the drivers blue tooth and chipset drivers from the manufacturer’s website and install the drivers, the following are the steps to update the drivers.

Open Device Manager by clicking the Start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking System and Maintenance, and then clicking Device Manager. ‌ If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation. In Device Manager, locate the device you want to update, and then double-click the device name. Click the Driver tab, and then click Update Driver and follow the instructions. Additional Information: Hope this helps. Let us know the results.

As my wife and I have identical computers, bought and delivered the same day, I got the idea to swap Hard Disk Drives. Her PC is still running Win XP. Well turns out that both my harddisk with Win7 and my wifes with Win XP run very nicely without problems on her PC. And both have no USB and no Bluetooth, when they run on my PC.

So it seems this time to be a hardware failure. I also tried swapping the WLAN cards, since I belive they run WLAN as well as Bluetooth. I beleive so because the button turning off the WLAN also turns off the Bluetooth, and because the card has two antenna wires attached to it. However I realise I may be mistaken in assuming the Bluetooth is on the WLAN card, and swapping the cards (and not swapping the HDD's) did not change anything. (WLAN has worked well all the time). Since the issue is not related to Win7 anymore this might be off topic, but what hardware part would normally be mutual for the Bluetooth and the USB functions? Hoping this may be usefull somehow to someone.
